Your Own Lashes, Lifted

Lash Lift & Tint

A semi-permanent curl and a darker colour on your own natural lashes. No extensions, no fills, no eyelash curler — for six to eight weeks.

What Is a Lash Lift?

A lash lift is a perm for your natural lashes. A gentle solution softens the bonds in each lash, they are set into an upward curl over a silicone shield, and a second solution locks the shape in. The result is your own lashes, standing up and opening the eye.

A tint is usually added in the same appointment, and it is what makes the difference most people are actually after. Lifting alone shows off length; tinting darkens the lashes from root to tip so they read as mascara you did not have to apply.

Unlike lash extensions, nothing is glued on. There are no fills every two to three weeks and no maintenance routine — you come in roughly every six to eight weeks and that is the whole commitment.

Lash Lift Options

Booked on their own or added to another appointment

Lash Lift

About 45–60 minutes

The curl on its own. Best if your lashes are already dark and you mainly want lift and eye-opening shape.

Lash Lift & Tint

About 60–75 minutes

The lift plus a tint applied in the same visit. The most-booked combination here, and the one that gives the mascara-look result.

Lash Tint Only

About 20–30 minutes

Colour without the curl. A quick add-on for clients with pale or fair lash tips, and a common addition to a brow appointment.

Lash Lift + Brow Combo

About 90 minutes

A lash lift and tint alongside a brow shape, tint, or lamination. Frames the whole eye area in one appointment.

Why Choose a Lift Over Extensions

Different service, different commitment

No Fills

Extensions need topping up every two to three weeks. A lift is done in one visit and left alone for six to eight weeks.

💩

Nothing Glued On

A lift works with the lashes you already have. No adhesive, no added weight, nothing to snag on a pillow.

🛀

Zero Daily Routine

No curler, no mascara required, no brushing or combing at night. You wake up and your lashes are already doing it.

💧

Swim, Sweat, Shower

After the first 24 hours there is nothing to protect. Lake weekends, the gym, and hot showers are all fine.

👀

Opens the Eye

The lift comes from the root, which is what makes eyes look more awake — particularly effective on straight or downward-growing lashes.

💰

Lower Ongoing Cost

One appointment every six to eight weeks costs meaningfully less over a year than a fill cycle every two to three weeks.

The Lash Lift Process

About an hour, lying down, eyes closed

1

Consultation

Kate looks at your natural lash length, direction, and condition, and you agree on how dramatic the curl should be. Straight, stubborn lashes and fine, soft lashes need different shield sizes.

2

Cleanse & Shield

Lashes are cleansed of oils and makeup, then a silicone shield is placed on the lid. The shield size is what determines the curl — a bigger shield gives a softer, more natural lift.

3

Lifting Solution

Each lash is brushed up onto the shield and the lifting solution is applied. Processing time is judged by lash thickness, not a fixed timer.

4

Setting & Tint

A setting solution locks the new shape, then tint is applied if you are having one. Your eyes stay closed throughout — most clients find this the restful part.

5

Nourish & Reveal

A conditioning serum goes on, the shields come off, and you see the result immediately. There is no downtime and no swelling to wait out.

Is a Lash Lift Right for You?

A lift works well if you have:

  • Decent natural lash length but no curl
  • Straight or downward-growing lashes
  • Fair or light-tipped lashes (add the tint)
  • An active life — swimming, gym, outdoor work
  • No appetite for a two-to-three-week fill cycle
  • A history of reacting to lash adhesive

Extensions may suit you better if:

  • Your natural lashes are very short or very sparse
  • You want added length, not just curl
  • You want a dramatic, obviously-full look
  • You are happy to come in for regular fills
  • You have recently had a lash lift (wait six weeks between)

Not sure which direction to go? Say so when you book — Kate will look at your natural lashes and tell you honestly which service gives you the result you are describing.

Lash Lift Aftercare

The first 24 hours matter, then you are free

🕐

24 Hours Dry

Keep lashes dry for the first 24 hours — no showers over the face, no steam, no swimming, no crying at a wedding if you can help it. The curl is still setting.

🚫

No Rubbing

Do not rub or press your eyes for the first day, and try not to sleep face-down on the first night. Pressure at this stage can flatten one side.

🌿

Serum Daily

A lash serum or a drop of oil brushed through keeps lashes conditioned so the lift stays soft rather than brittle over the weeks.

📅

Rebook at 6–8 Weeks

The curl relaxes as lashes naturally shed and regrow. Six to eight weeks is the usual interval — do not book earlier than six.

Lash Lift & Tint FAQ

Your questions answered

Do you take walk-ins?

Walk-ins are welcome whenever we have availability — it is always worth calling (989) 673-4699 before you drive in, especially if you are coming from out of town. Booking online is the only way to guarantee a specific time, and it matters most for lash sets and full nail sets, which need a longer block.

How long does a lash lift last?

Six to eight weeks for most clients. The lift does not "wear off" so much as grow out — as lifted lashes shed and new uncurled ones replace them, the effect softens gradually rather than disappearing all at once. Booking around the six-week mark keeps it looking consistent.

What is the difference between a lash lift and lash extensions?

A lash lift curls the lashes you already have. Extensions attach individual synthetic lashes to your natural ones to add length and volume. A lift needs no fills and costs less over time, but it cannot add length — if your lashes are naturally short, a lift will make them look better but not longer. Extensions add length and drama but need a fill every two to three weeks.

Does a lash lift damage your natural lashes?

Not when it is done correctly and not repeated too often. The solutions are formulated for lashes and are far gentler than a traditional perm. The risk comes from over-processing or from booking lifts too close together — which is why Kate will not lift lashes again inside six weeks, and will say so if your lashes need a break.

Do I need the tint as well?

Not necessarily, but most clients are glad they got it. If your lashes are naturally dark, the lift alone may be enough. If your lashes are fair, blonde, or fade to pale tips — which is most people — the tint is what turns "my lashes are curled" into "it looks like I am wearing mascara".

Can I wear mascara after a lash lift?

Yes, after the first 24 hours. Most clients find they stop bothering. If you do wear it, use a regular formula rather than waterproof, since waterproof mascara needs heavy rubbing to remove and that is what shortens the life of the lift.

Does it hurt?

No. Your eyes stay closed the entire time and nothing touches the eye itself. Most clients find it relaxing enough that they doze off. If you have sensitive eyes or a history of reactions, mention it when booking and a patch test can be done first.

Can I get a lash lift if I currently have extensions?

Not at the same time. Extensions need to be fully removed and the natural lashes given a short recovery period first. Mention it when you book so the removal can be scheduled properly rather than rushed on the day.

How soon before an event should I book?

Two to five days before is ideal. That clears the 24-hour dry window comfortably and lets the curl settle into its final softness. Booking the day before works, but leaves no room if you want anything adjusted.
